The Pink Shirt Day organisation have done a fabulous job in trying to recognise bullying in not only our communities around New Zealand but internationally. Today, I wore a pink shirt... but that alone doesn't help reduce the amount of bullying our kids today are attacked with. There's more to it and we need to understand what's going on. Anyone who has ever met me, knows I'm far from that stereotype and really want to reach out to others. I was completely unprepared for this conference and really did speak from the heart - as you can tell, I get a little tongue-tied and I drink lots of water! But if you have some time to spare, please have a listen and see if you agree with anything I say.
