THE ASPIRE MISSION
Aspire Mentoring is a company dedicated to educating, inspiring, encouraging and supporting young girls aged 10–18 to achieve their dreams.
A girl's teen years are some of the most scary and challenging times in their lives. As everything around them starts changing and they begin to evolve into young women, it important that they are surrounded with support. Whether the support is for school, friends, family, extra-curricular activities or life-lessons in general, Aspire is the place where they can learn from a mentor and be around like-minded girls.
Aspire is really for everyone. If you have a go-getter girl, who is always involving herself in so much that she looses track, or a girl who finds it challenging to be motivated, Aspire is for her. If your daughter is finding it hard to fit in or make friends, Aspire is for her. If your girl simply wants to be a part of something she will learn from, while also having fun, Aspire is for her.
Being in an environment that challenges, stimulates and inspires young girls on the path to living the life they are capable of is our passion.
As a parent, sometimes assisting your child can be hard. They are finding their own feet, and while their need for independence is present, they still need a helping-hand. Learning from an experienced mentor in a happy environment with girls their own age, can enable your girl to grow into that young lady she is trying to be.
From learning about personalities, bullying, goal setting and more, girls are able to learn about themselves and attain skills that will forever be of value to them. It's a weekend programme that is simply invaluable.
As a teen, I could never find my place. I was involved with every opportunity in school I could get my hands on – and I was teased for it. I was the girl who wanted to dance, be at Brownies, attend singing lessons and have math tutoring... but I simply couldn't fit it all in with school. It's fair to say, I knew I was capable of something amazing, but I needed support and couldn't find it beyond my parents.
When looking back on what could have enabled me to have a balanced life with friends, success at school and out of school... I needed mentoring. I needed someone cooler than mum & dad, and somewhere where I could find girls like myself. Girls who were not ashamed of who they are, or who they wanted to be. I needed an environment where I wouldn't feel silly for being involved in so much, and I needed to be shown how to manage myself, my time and my ambitions so that I could really succeed.
It's when looking back on my life I got the idea to create Aspire. I created Aspire so young girls like myself could be taught what they don't get taught at school. Where learning is beyond math and English, and right on what young ladies needed to learn in today's society.
I have dedicated a huge part of my life to seeing girls succeed in whatever they aspire to achieve, to help them on the path of success and to encourage them to be someone who they want to be.
"My role as Founder and Mentor, is to create an environment where girls can support each other on their own journey to success and that I can provide them with the opportunity to shine in their own unique way."
