MICHELLE DICKINSON

 

Michelle Dickinson is a force to be reckoned with! Holding her own in the field of science, Michelle has a PhD in biomedical materials engineering, is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Auckland, and runs New Zealand’s only nanomechanical testing laboratory!

 

With specialist knowledge in nanotechnology, Michelle has contributed to the development of cutting edge technologies. Secretly, however, Michelle has been working on advancing these developments to help her to achieve her childhood dream of becoming a real life superhero.

 

Her recent move to academia from industry was a step towards her goal of inspiring females to push the boundaries in both science and sports, and to encourage environmentally sustainable living through engineering design.

 

Most recently, you may have seen Michelle on 3 News or on Paul Henry's new TV show... 

 

This Guest Speaker Event is one not to be missed – Michelle is an inspiration to us all for so many reasons!

DEBRA CHANTRY

 

Debra Chantry is our business guru and one of the most focused and dedicated business minds around Auckland. As a finalist in the 2013 NEXT Women of the Year in the Business Category, we'd say she has a lot to offer us!

 

From being an owner-manager of a number of businesses, as well as holding General Management, CEO, and Director roles across a broad range of industries from start-ups, Owner-Managed Businesses, Corporates & Not-for-Profit Organisations, Debra is the ultimate motivator for setting goals and being able to rise to them – not only for herself, but also for all of the major clients she works with.

 

Aspire is a huge fan of Debra's work and is excited to welcome her to one of our Special Guest Event evenings.  Debra is one of life’s true enthusiasts, with the rare ability to motivate & excite colleagues, customers & clients... something we have no doubt she'll be able to ignite in Apsire girls.

JASMINE PLATT

 

As the owner of Creating Miracles, Jasmine Platt is all about happiness – something we all need in our lives.

"I believe that the purpose of life is to be happy – and that this is possible for everyone. For some of us, it is possible now. For others, it can take a wee bit to adjust perspective to experience happiness, but this is the Game of Life."

 

Jasmine started her own business, Creating Miracles, to assist working with people from all walks of life. From educating people on how to be happy, to gaining tools on how to empower your life.

 

At the end of this Guest Speaker Event, we hope Aspire girls and their parents walk out feeling refreshed and motivated on that path to happiness.
